České Radiokomunikace a.s. is a modern broadcasting and telecommunications company with country-wide operations.

České Radiokomunikace a.s. is a market leader in the radio service market and it was the first company to start public digital TV broadcasting in the Czech Republic.

In the Czech market we operate mostly in the area of broadcasting and transmitting data and other signals in free space by means of microwave radio-relay and satellite links, telecommunications networks and telecommunications systems for optical links. We also provide nationwide, regional and local broadcasting and distribution of television signal both for operators by law and for licensed operators.

České Radiokomunikace a.s. owns several hundred telecommunication buildings and structures that assure complete coverage of the whole territory of the Czech Republic:

• By means of a telecommunication network interconnecting most of the important business centers in the Czech Republic. This concept consists of seven segments, each of them intersects the territory of the Czech Republic. The backbone network consists of two-way self-correcting circuits with the capacity in the order of tens of Gb/s.
• High-capacity connection into Telehouse SITEL, TTC Teleport and Telehouse GTS.
• Modern and in the Czech Republic well-established system Siemens EWSD providing public phone services. Direct interconnection with other providers of both fixed and mobile public phone services.
• A control center in the telecommunications tower Praha – Strahov equipped by state-of-the-art systems and manned by service personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
• Service centers in Prague and in all former regional cities.
• Our own construction capacities.

These capacities make it possible for České Radiokomunikace a.s. to realize electronic communication services in short delivery periods, high quality and great professionalism.

Company owners

In December 2010, the infrastructure funds managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) – Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 2, Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 3 and the Macquarie Mercer Infrastructure Trust – acquired 100 per cent of České Radiokomunikace.

Company history

České Radiokomunikace a.s. was founded in 1963 as Správa radiokomunikací (Radio communications administration) and 31 years later it was transformed into a joint-stock company. After privatization and subsequent large-scale restructuring we became a true provider of services in the fields of electronic communications and broadcasting. Currently we are strengthening our market position through continual improvement of our services and customer services.
